Born in May 1819 and made Queen at the age of 18 in 1837, Queen Victoria ruled for 63 years. In the earlier years of her rein she was influenced by and married Prince Albert in 1840, he helped teach her how to be a ruler in a 'constitutional monarchy.' Her marriage to Albert brought 9 children who married other royal families in Europe. Once her beloved Prince Albert passed, Victoria became obsessed over death and mourned his passing for 40 years, always wearing black and looking solum. She refused to spend too much time in public, except for her duties that had to be done in public. There were seven attempts at her death during her rein, but her constant strength throughout this made her more popular with the public, she proved she wasn't afraid of death. She took part in photographing her deceased husband Albert and the family, she wanted to recreate a moment in history when they would all be able to stand together of a photo, she had Alberts head made into a death mask and photographed in the centre of the family. She also, after much protest, ordered a large memorial to be made in the memory of her late husband Albert.
