This is an early photo taken of Queen Victoria on her wedding day, in this photo her hair is very slick and straight with no stray bit, her parting is in the middle and very straight and perfect. Her hair is short and finishes at her ears, this hair style she is wearing has small plaits and the sides of her head that accentuate her ears, the plaits are very structured and neatly clip back into the back of head which fashions a tight bun. This style of hair was to elongate the neck, as well as having a very low cut dress which also elongated the neck.

In this hair style fashioned by an older Queen Victoria is mostly hidden under her veil, but at the front we can see she has kept the slick and straight hair with a perfectly shaped middle parting. Her ears are more on show in this picture and her dress isn't so low cut, but the idea of this look is still to elongate the neck area.
